The Olton Section of the Catholic Women's League (CWL) has been gathering at the Friary since 1950. We meet on the third Thursday afternoon of each month, excepting January and August. We offer friendship and support to all our members and gather each year for an annual Day of Recollection. Every meeting begins and ends with a prayer in which we entreat the Holy Spirit to help us through developing the talents we have so we may be committed to helping others through caring acts of charity and loyalty to our fellow members.
In our meetings throughout the year, we are privileged to have talks from a variety of speakers; fund raise for charity through such events as coffee mornings, and enjoy social afternoons, summer and Christmas parties, and help to support our parish in any way possible. The CWL has a positive voice for good in the Church today and you could be a part of that. As a member you will find fresh interests, make new friends, and discover opportunities that will enable you to make a real difference and play an important role in church and society.
